Baby Boomer Life

Baby Boomer Life was there with Louise Hay and a cast of high powered self help guru’s, psychics, authors, doctors and metaphysicians galore for Hay House‘ annual bash in Tampa which was also viewed by most as her 81st birthday party for 5000 people.

Was it fun? Do bee’s fly??
Of course it was every bit of exciting with Louise premiering her soon to be released movie entitled You Can Heal Your Life for the captivated audience who hung on her every word and waited in line every day for autographs until all her books, cards, and CD’s were sold out. Everyone, including me, wanted to hug Louise and touch the magic of a dream brought to fruition through vision, living her mission, hard work and love.

Louise Hay is radiant and fit at 81 and not only inspiring but possibly more inspiring than ever before in her fascinating life. God Bless you Louise! I think the Grand Dame of self help is more powerful and magnificent than ever. Her first book, more of a pamphlet originally, was incorporated into her best selling You Can Heal Your Life and became the book that changed the way the world thinks about healing and positive thoughts. That was in 1984 and since then it has sold over 35 million copies around the world. Believe it or not You Can Heal Your Life was translated in 29 different languages! Hallelujah Louise!!

One of the first groups of people that Louise reached out and helped with her self healing techniques were the victims of Aids during the eighties when fear was rampant and love was scarce. Louise was right there showing them how love and visualization can heal anything. They flocked to her and trusted her and learned from her and so did the rest of us. She didn’t judge then nor does she now.

The Tampa event was actually second to the I Can Do It! Conference in Las Vegas for 6000 people in May. That alone was enough to inspire me. We did say 81 years young you know!
Think maybe you ought to read a couple of her books? Only if you want to know how she does it and how you can do it too! Woohoo! This is fun, isn’t it?

The list of self help luminaries is long and I will be focusing on several of them in upcoming posts but just to name of few of my favorite speakers and authors let me rain praise on Marianne Williamson, Esther & Jerry Hicks, Gregg Braden, Wayne Dyer, Caroline Myss, and Colette Baron-Reid and her majesty, Sylvia Browne. The only one missing was Oprah! Believe me there were twenty more and all worth your undivided attention.

This was not a baby boomer event specifically, but of course Baby Boomer Life counted about 3000 out of 5000 in the baby boomer age group. We Rule!
Actually most of the speakers were indeed baby boomers! What can I say? We are in on everything and anything that is opening or healing to the mind, body, spirit connection. Don’t you love it?

Over the next days I will be posting specifically about some of the speakers I focused on and sharing some of my exciting “click” moments. There were many. I highly recommend you book your reservations for next Oct 2-5, 2008 if you want to be in Tampa for Louise’s 82nd birthday bash at the “I Can Do It! Conference”

Next year my husband will be going too. And Tampa Bay will lure him in hook, line, and sinker! By the way, the trolley car was really neat for a shopping-dining excursion but there was good food in walking distance and the new Conference Center right there on the Bay at the marina is beautiful.
