Healing The Past To Remember The Future: Baby Boomer Life

Sort of sounds as though Baby Boomer Life has gone off the deep end, doesn’t it? Not to worry-I have not. I did, on the other hand, find myself viewing life from a rather backwards perspective while reading Colette Baron-Reid’s book,Remembering the Future.

Colette had the honorable job of warming up the stage for Sylvia Browne at the I Can Do It! Conference, but I don’t think that was a problem for the singer- songwriter, intuitive, and author. Talk about multi-talented. You should hear her CD’s and read her book.

If you get the chance you should also peer into those lovely and wise sea green eyes. I did- while she was signing my book and we were briefly conversing. Of course, the line was long so I didn’t get to indulge in a really gratifying conversation but I had just come out of her workshop after leaving another workshop early to go see Colette. I went in there pulled by a truly personal sense of needing to connect with her. That doesn’t seem odd at all, right? But the thing is, I’d never met her before and it was purely trusting my intuitive voice that put me there.

She reminds me of people I know; like my daughter, a long lost friend, and someone else who I can’t quite put my finger on. It’s that deja vu thing that always leaves us a bit puzzled.

Looking back, I’m not quite sure if I was there for my daughter or for myself. I bought CD’s, The Wisdom of Avalon Oracle Cards that Colette designed, and her book Remembering the Future first as a gift for my girl. My daughter is twenty and often the best way to reach her is indirectly through things that interest her. The thing is, they also interest me.

Colette’s book is divided into two parts and part one is her personal story and it is one so many can relate to one way or another. Let’s just say she did not start her intuitive career as Joan of Arc. Part one is a movie in and of itself or should be, and I hope she does one day write the screenplay. Then part two is about finding and developing your own intuition and inner vision which is something Colette has mastered, my friends.

The exercises in part two are really helpful. Even if I only did the one exercise and never read the book at all it would still be worth the price to me. I got what I came for and thankfully I am wise enough to know it-at least this time. For those who are interested, you’ll love this; I found that Colette does readings even on the phone and you can book with her online, and you don’t have to travel to Canada to sit with her. Isn’t that great?

You can find Colette on HayHouse Radio fairly frequently and even Dr. Wayne Dyer says she is 100% credible. That’s good enough for me. Personally, I like the way she communicates. People like Colette are always a pleasure to be around because they “find” themselves fairly early in life and they do it the hard and painful way so they have a (no Bull S*#t) way about them that is direct and strong but not overbearing.

Here is her website again-just touch the name Colette and you are there!

Colette has a very youthful aura about her. I remember thinking she must be the same age as one of my own adult children when I first saw her but in reading her book I realized she was not as young as I thought, which is good because that much wisdom and intuition is something that comes with age, or is it?
Maybe it comes with spiritual alignment, because if ever a woman has done the work to be spiritually clear, it is certainly Colette and it’s no wonder the angels, guides and other heavenly messengers love talking to her or is it through her?

All I know is she captivated me with her beautiful voice and her deep down in the soul writing.
Colette’s book so entranced me that I had to finish it the same day. Of course I have to go back and really work some of her exercises for becoming more in touch with your own intuition but I know I will do that because I did one exercise that opened me up and revealed a long buried truth to me.

It must have been the result of perturbation after spending four days in the presence of so many notable healers, readers, doctors, and metaphysical writers at I Can Do It! Conference in Tampa. I got home on Monday nite and buried myself for days in rereading notes, reading books, and listening to CD’s. This is an educational process you know!

With this one particular exercise of Colette’s,I actually spent over two hours, that felt like five minutes, and came out of my visualization exercise feeling gratified, whole, and very thankful for the opening of something that had been hidden for most of my life since I was a small child. It really was a revelation of some magnitude that opened up a flood of deep sobs releasing an inner pain that I was stunned by. I wasn’t expecting it. It was an instant knowingness and comprehension of a life damaging pattern that had held me back in so many ways. Of course, the work I did afterward was what relaxed me but the revelation I had really rocked my world. Yet, it was absolutely worth it and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Thank you All That Is!

In case you don’t know, you can call Colette on Skype and listen through headphones while being totally focused and relaxed, and have a real special treat if you need some help with a problem or maybe time-frames for something you have been wanting and working for. Just go to her website and book the time. Colette says she actually gives better readings over the phone because there are no visual distractions to give conflicting messages.

Oh, and if you’d love a soothing healing meditation Colette has a very special one called Journey Through the Chakras; it’s a bestselling EMI CD. I like guided meditations so I bought it and I love it. If you want something beautiful to listen to in the car and you’re tired of the radio, try Magdalene’s Garden and I Am/Grace.

More and more I am learning that it really isn’t about the destination in this physical life but rather the journey. I think it’s safe to say that I will be seeing and speaking with Colette again. Maybe she can be of service to you on your journey too and when you talk to her drop us a line at Baby Boomer Life.

A’ bientot.
