Goodbye 2007-Hello 2008 From Baby Boomer Life
First and foremost Baby Boomer Life Friends, I thought you’d like an historic and traditional version of Auld Lang Syne, a Scottish original song traditionally sang in most every English speaking country in the world at midnight on New Years Eve. It doesn’t hurt to review the lyrics every once in a while just in case you’ve already had too much bubbly before midnight and can’t remember them.
Here is yet another version for those of you who would like some of the genuine Scottish lyrics. In Scotland they celebrate from December 29th through January 1st and the four day festival is called Hogmanay. This site will give you some history and even a list of events and places in Scotland to go and celebrate. I bet you can still get a flight.
So are you ready for a brand new year and the beginning of a fresh new nine year cycle? I know I am. Many of my family, friends, and acquaintances will be singing Auld Lang Syne with gusto this year as we release 2007 and embrace 2008.
One thing I really appreciate about 2007 is that it was the year I learned the meaning of the word GRATITUDE and feeling of GRATITUDE way down deep in my bones. Another area of intense concentration for me in 2007 has been really getting the meaning of the Law of Attraction and the power of my thoughts both conscious and unconscious. Becoming vigilant and aware of my thoughts and understanding the meaning of being “Blessed” has been an ongoing theme this past year.
I didn’t coast in 2007. No, I worked hard and it didn’t always pay off but I’d really like to think that it is all waiting in my escrow alignment for me to claim it in 2008. I see it kind of like an unburied treasure I didn’t quite receive yet just waiting down the road a bit for me. Those of you who read my posts earlier this year may remember me talking about Esther and Jerry Hicks teachings at the “I Can Do It” Conference in Tampa, FL. They teach about the escrow alignment. It is all your abundance- ready and waiting to be received whenever you are ready to allow yourself to receive it. Yes, one of the more interesting trains of thought I pondered this year.
I am looking forward to the energy of 2008 and I hope it brings all of us-myself and all of you-many great new and exciting opportunities. Most especially I would hope that all the loose ends from 2007 will be tied up and completed to your satisfaction and mine, and that we will all look back with a better understanding of it all next year this time. (Right Michael?)
You gotta love hindsight.
Take these last few days to review 2007 and look ahead to the coming year as you give thanks for all that you have and all that you are in the co-creation of this blessing called your life. Ask and give thanks for forgiveness, healing, love, and abundance in all things and let yourself be receptive to fulfillment. Ask and it is given. I will be working on that myself.
Bless you and yours in what remains of the winter holidays as you travel the roads and gather with family and friends.
Get ready for the New Year-here it comes!
Happy New Year from Baby Boomer Life!
